Question: Does the vendor need to manage the registration and dispatch of demand response load into MISO?
Answer: Generally, Proposals shall take into
consideration NIPSCO acting as the MISO Market Participant (responsible for market
offers). However, NIPSCO is willing to
consider Proposals where NIPSCO is not acting as the MISO Market Participant to
the extent it is beneficial to NIPSCO’s customers.
To the extent NIPSCO is responsible for registration of the Demand Response asset in MISO, the RFP does require that assets be qualified to receive Zonal Resource Credits in or delivered to MISO Local Resource Zone 6 consistent with MISO’s Module E or successor. Any executed agreement that fails to achieve registration with MISO, regardless or the registering party, will be void.
